Mistplay not tracking? Fixes for iPhone and Android, from Mistplay's own help
Quick answer
On iPhone, Mistplay can show 'We're confirming your install' for up to 48 hours. If it's still pending after that, reinstall and launch the game from Mistplay, play 10+ minutes, avoid VPNs and make sure it's your first install. For missed goals, send a continuous screen recording through support. On Android, allow usage access and turn off battery optimisation.
Mistplay not tracking your game usually means one of two things. Either the install was never confirmed, or a goal you reached wasn't recorded. On iPhone, Mistplay says a new game can show "We're confirming your install" for up to 48 hours. If it's still pending after that, the install won't verify for that game, and your best option is to uninstall, reinstall and launch it from inside Mistplay. For a missed goal, Mistplay asks for a short screen recording as proof.
We run Vazpop, a rewards site that handles game tracking every day, so we know where it breaks. Everything here comes from Mistplay's own iPhone help center, checked on 12 October 2026, with notes for Android where it works differently.
First: which Mistplay are you using?
Mistplay has two separate apps. The original Android app has run since 2016. The iPhone app launched in the US in 2025, and its games are hosted in a section called LoyaltyPlay. Accounts and points don't move between the two, and tracking works differently, so the fix depends on your phone.
Before you start a new Mistplay game
Most tracking problems are easier to prevent than to fix. Before you tap install, check that you've never had the game on this phone, including through another rewards app. Switch off any VPN and stay on your usual Wi-Fi or mobile data. Open the game from inside Mistplay, allow tracking if it asks, and give it a proper first session of at least ten minutes. Then check that Mistplay has confirmed the install before you push towards bigger goals. Ten minutes of care at the start can save you a week of support tickets later.
Mistplay not tracking on iPhone: the fixes
Problem 1: "We're confirming your install"
According to Mistplay's install confirmation article, this message means the install is still being verified, which can take up to 48 hours. Keep playing in the meantime. If it's still pending after 48 hours, the install won't verify and that game won't earn. The good news: it only affects that one game.
If you want to try again before moving on, Mistplay suggests this:
- Uninstall the game, then reinstall it.
- Launch it directly from the Mistplay app, not from your home screen.
- Play for at least 10 minutes in your first session.
- Make sure it's your first time installing that game on the device.
- Stay on your regular network. Avoid VPNs, private browsing, or switching networks while you download and play.
- Allow tracking if the game asks.
Point 4 matters more than people expect. Advertisers pay for new players, so a game you installed months ago, even through another app, usually won't verify again.
Problem 2: you reached a goal but got no points
Mistplay handles missing goal rewards through a support ticket, and it asks for a screen recording. Its proof of progress guide says the video needs to show, in one continuous recording:
- Opening the Mistplay app.
- Tapping the game on your Mistplay home page to open its details page.
- Tapping Continue Earning and showing your current progress, such as your level or achievement screen.
To record on iPhone, add Screen Recording in Settings → Control Center, then swipe down from the top-right corner and tap the record button. Record it once, cleanly, and attach it to your ticket.

Fixing Mistplay tracking on Android
The Android app rewards play inside games you install through Mistplay, so it needs to see which game is open. It relies on Android's usage access permission for that. If you skipped that step or turned it off, Mistplay can't see your play.
- Open your phone's Settings → Apps → Special app access → Usage access (menu names vary by phone) and make sure Mistplay is allowed.
- Turn off battery optimisation for Mistplay and the game, so your phone doesn't close them in the background.
- Open games from inside Mistplay, and only play the games listed there.
- Avoid VPNs. Mistplay's terms don't allow them, and accounts using one risk a permanent ban.
Other "missing points" that aren't tracking problems
- Gift card stuck on Pending. Mistplay says an order can take up to 48 hours to process. Check its status under My Rewards.
- Can't redeem a gift card. Mistplay asks for your location at redemption to confirm the gift card is available in your country. Allow location "While Using App" with Precise Location on.
- Asked for ID before a gift card. Since October 2026, Mistplay's help center says an ID check through its partner Verisoul is part of getting gift cards for all players. You only do it once.
- Tournament reward missing. Wait a few minutes after the tournament ends and relaunch the app before contacting support.
How common is it?
In Mistplay's 500 most recent iPhone App Store reviews, 19 of the 277 bad reviews mentioned tracking or missing points. The bigger complaint was redeeming rewards, at 35%. We compare Mistplay with other apps in Cash Giraffe vs Mistplay and JustPlay vs Mistplay.
Tracking works the same way on every game reward app, Vazpop included, because the game reports your progress. What we've done differently is make it visible: Vazpop's Tracking page lists every offer you've started and whether it's waiting for the advertiser, on hold, paid or reversed, with holds shown as a countdown.
Frequently asked questions
Why does Mistplay say it's confirming my install?
The install is still being verified, which Mistplay says can take up to 48 hours. If it's still pending after 48 hours, that game won't earn.
How do I get missing Mistplay points?
Submit a support ticket with a continuous screen recording: open Mistplay, open the game's details page, tap Continue Earning and show your progress.
Why isn't Mistplay tracking my playtime on Android?
Usually because usage access is off or battery optimisation is closing the app. Allow usage access for Mistplay and open games from inside Mistplay.
Can I move my Mistplay points from Android to iPhone?
No. Mistplay's help center says Android accounts and points cannot be transferred to Mistplay for iPhone.
